180 Catholic bishops meet in Edo

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) is set to hold its second plenary to discuss matters concerning the Catholic faith and the nation.

No fewer than 180 Reverend Fathers are expected to attend the plenary, which will commence on Thursday at the Auchi Catholic Diocese in Edo State.

This was contained in a statement issued by Rev. Fr. Peter Egielewa, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee.

Egielewa quoted the Bishop of Auchi Diocese, Dr Gabriel Dunia, as saying: “The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria is the highest decision-making body of the Catholic Church in Nigeria.”
