Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman arrived at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco, in grand style, earlier today, December 16, for the 2024 CAF Awards.
Ademola Lookman who was born and bred in England by Nigerian parents, arrived at the venue of the CAF Awards dressed in motherland attire called Agbada, a type of men’s wear famous in Western Nigeria in the company of his parents.
Lookman ensured the national colors of Nigeria were adequately represented on the attire, especially green, from his cap to every aspect of the regalia.
To portray royalty or dignify the attire further, he ensured that he accompanied the attire with beads that he wore on his neck.
In a video that surfaced on X, the 27-year-old Nigeria international was seen shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries with Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, who has been nominated for the CAF Women’s Player of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year, was also spotted in the video.
Just like Lookman, she exchanged greetings with the NFF president but decided to go with a Western dress, instead of dressing in a native attire like her countryman.

Note that other CAF Men’s Player of the Year nominees like Achraf Hakimi and Sehrou Guirassy have also arrived at the venue of the event.
