Nigeria’s under-17 women’s team has been paired to face United States in the quarter-finals of the 2024 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup.
Recall that the Nigerian team qualified for the quarter-finals of the under-17 Women’s World Cup by narrowly defeating the host nation, the Dominican Republic, with a tight score of 1-0 in their match on Wednesday.
More so, North Korea qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating England with a commanding score of 4-0 in their final group match. This showcased North Korea’s strength as a formidable contender in the tournament.
Kenya, on the other hand, managed a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Mexico. However, despite this win, both teams were unable to advance to the knockout stage, highlighting the competitive nature of the group.
In another thrilling encounter, Poland played to a tense 0-0 draw with Brazil, which was sufficient for them to qualify for the quarter-finals. Poland finished in second place in Group D, trailing only behind the group leaders, Japan.
