2024 League Bloggers Awards: Mbaoma wins NPFL Player Of The Season, See All Winners

Enyimba of Aba star, Chijioke Mbaoma won the 2023-2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Player of the Season award at the 2024 League Bloggers Awards which took place in Lagos on Friday night, July 19.

Recall that Mbaoma finished the 2023-2024 NPFL season with 17 goals which earned him the league’s top scorer award. That also earned him a nomination for the best NPFL player of the season at the League Bloggers Awards.

He contended for the award against Remo Stars and Super Eagles defender Sodiq Ismail, who not only secured a spot in the national team but also contributed 13 assists and netted one goal for his club during last season.

Akwa United’s Sani Suleiman, who impressed with 11 goals and 2 assists in 19 appearances beat the midfielder of Enyimba Daniel Daga and Remo Stars defender Ahmed Akinyele to win the rookie of the season award.

Fidelis Ilechukwu who led Enugu Rangers to win the 2023-2024 NPFL title went home with the coach of the season award at the 2024 League Bloggers Awards, beating his friend, Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars to it.
