Recall that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) annouced 23-man Super Eagles squad for the qualifiers last Tuesday.

Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, Victor Boniface, Samuel Chukweuze, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, are some of the players expected to arrive today because they played their league games on Friday and Saturday.

Nottingham Forest duo Taiwo Awoniyi, Ola Aina, South Africa-based goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, Olisa Ndah, Victor Osimhen, former Bendel Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie, and Semilogo Ajayi are also expected in camp today.

The potential late arrivals to the Super Eagles camp are, Maduka Okoye, Raphael Onyedika, and Kelechi Iheanacho, who were in action for their respective clubs on Sunday.

The Super Eagles will be led by NFF’s Technical Director, Augustine Eguavoen, after a German coach, Bruno Labbadia, declined the coaching offer due to tax-related issues.

Naija News has reported that the NFF president, Ibrahim Gusau, explained that the football federation and the German tactician agreed on a deal before the coach decided to bow out because the FA refused to be responsible for his tax in Germany.
