The executive governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has congratulated Bishop, clergymen and members of the Agape Christian Ministries in Akure, on the occasion of its 36th annual convention.

At a thanksgiving service marking the end of the convention at the Possibility Ground in Akure on Sunday, the governor, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, acknowledged the role of the church in sustaining peace and raising Godly people.

He said “On behalf of government and good people of Ondo state, I wish to felicitate with you on this milestone, which is the 36th year of the establishment of your ministries.

“I also want to thank Bishop Felix Adejumo, his ever-supportive wife, Pastor Mrs Funke Adejumo, pastors, deaconesses and the entire congregation for their immense contributions to good governance in Ondo state”

The governor appreciated the Bishop for being a strong pillar behind Pastor Mrs Funke Adejumo’s ministry of promoting family values, which he said has a positive impact on nation-building.

Agape Ministry 35th Convention

In his sermon, the founder and Senior Pastor of Agape Christian Ministries International, Bishop Adejumo, shared with the congregation, his experience as founder of the church, while appealing to the people to be resilient and faithful.

According to him, “Pain sometimes is needful for our journey to maturity but resilience will take us to the final destination”

Citing the Holy Bible in Psalm 34;19, Bishop Adejumo urged the congregation to remain undaunted but seek the face of God in whatever they do. He asked that they put their faith in God and not man.

“You can respect and honour men but worship only God and have faith in him because faith can turn adversity into an advantage. Faith knows the end from the beginning and faith can predict the future” Adejumo preached.
