Abia: New Police boss resumes, vows to track criminals with intelligence, technology

The 34th Commissioner of Police in Abia State, Danladi Isa has assumed office in Umuahia, with a promise to apply intelligence gathering and technology in the tracking and arrest of criminal elements in the state.

This is even as he has promised that there would be respect for human rights under his watch as CP.

Isah, who made the pledge after receiving hand over notes from the immediate past Police commissioner , Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, said that his mission in Abia is to ensure peace, promote a conducive environment as well as collaborate with all stakeholders in sustaining peace.

“This approach is crucial in tackling modern crime challenges, as it allows us to stay one step ahead by preventing crimes before they occur,” said Isah.

The new Police commissioner who also identified sister security agencies and community support as key for his success in Abia, promised to be fair, impartial and accessible to Abia residents.

Isah, who warned the officers in the Command against engaging in corrupt practices, said that any officer caught in unprofessional conducts would face appropriate decisive and punitive measures.

He further thanked the immediate past Commissioner of Police, Kenechukwu Onwuemelie on his achievements in office, expressing that he would build on the already established achievements to ensure a more peaceful and crime-free Abia.

The new CP hails from Oganenigu, Dekina LGA of Kogi State.
