The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission has warned the public, particularly applicants of the recent recruitment exercise, to desist from giving money to individuals under the pretence of securing job slots within the civil service.

The warning was contained in a statement by Abubakar Umar Maiha. Permanent Secretary,

Adamawa State Civil Service Commission.

The statement warned all applicants who have applied for the job to stay away from fraudulent individuals, saying that anyone caught engaging in such fraudulent activities, either by offering or accepting bribes, will face the full weight of the law.

“Job racketeering is a criminal offence and will not be tolerated under any circumstances,’ it said.

It further reiterated that the recruitment process was free, fair and strictly merit-based, in line with the directive of His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

It further added that the Commission is committed to upholding transparency and equal opportunity for all eligible applicants, even as it urged all applicants to be patient and avoid falling victim to scammers.

“The next phase of the recruitment exercise will be duly announced in due course through official channels,” it further added.
