Adeleke signs N427bn 2025 budget into law

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, signed the 2025 State Appropriation Bill into law on Monday.

At the brief event held at the Governor’s Office in Abere, where the bill was signed, Adeleke directed ministries, agencies, and departments of government to vigorously pursue its implementation for the benefit of the citizens.

The governor assured residents that the budget would be fully implemented to meet their expectations.

“For record purposes, the budget I am signing today is tagged ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation’. The total sum for the 2025 budget is Four Hundred and Twenty-Seven Billion, Seven Hundred and Forty-Six Million, Nine Hundred and Twenty-Five Thousand, One Hundred and Seventy Naira (₦427,746,925,170.00).

“Consequently, I direct ministries, agencies, and departments to pursue the implementation vigorously to benefit the state’s citizens. Our budget performance must continue to be commendable every quarter.

“I further direct the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget and Development to, as usual, monitor the implementation process to ensure delivery according to targets and expectations,” Adeleke said.

In his remarks at the event, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. Wale Egbedun, commended Adeleke’s approach to the state’s development.

He urged the administration to fully implement the budget in the best interest of the residents.
