Osun State Government has launched portals for registration by intending pilgrims ahead of 2025 holy pilgrimages to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Israel.

A statement by the State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Rasheed Aderibigbe, obtained in Osogbo on Tuesday, said that the move was meant to ensure transparency in the application process and other plans for the pilgrimages.

Aderibigbe, whose ministry supervises the state Pilgrim Boards, further assured that the initiative would guarantee accountability in the management of pilgrimage operations and pilgrim application processes in the state.

He subsequently directed Muslim pilgrims to log on to muslimpilgrim.osunstate.gov.ng to apply for the 2025 Hajj, while Christian pilgrims were told to apply at christianpilgrim.osunstate.gov.

The statement partly read, “In a bid to ensure simple, seamless, transparent, accountability and accessible process of Hajj and Jerusalem pilgrimages registrations, Osun State government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has launched Muslim and Christian Pilgrimage portals for all intending Muslims and Christians pilgrims in Osun State for the year 2025 holy lands trip.

“The adopted process will ensure transparency and accountability in the coming Hajj and Jerusalem processes, while assuring that the initiative will ensure Transparency and Accountability of the Hajj, Jerusalem and entire Pilgrim application Processing in the State.

“In view of this development, the Osun State government is hereby imploring Members of the Public who are interested in the year 2025 Hajj pilgrimage should log in to muslimpilgrim.osunstate.gov.ng to Apply for 2025 Hajj. Christian Pilgrims should apply at christianpilgrim.osunstate.gov.ng.”
