Gombe State has attracted yet another significant investment, with two companies pledging to invest over N12 billion at the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park.

The Chairman of the Park’s Interim Management Committee, Bashir Nuhu Aliko, disclosed this after leading the companies to inspect potential sites within the park.

Following the recent commitment of two multinational companies to invest $45 million, this new investment further solidifies Gombe State’s position as a prime investment destination.

Premium Seed Ltd, a leading seed producer, plans to establish a production centre in the park, which will create over 3,500 jobs.

The Managing Director/CEO of the Company, Dr. Ibitoye Oyewale, said his firm has been producing seeds in Gombe since last year. However, under their decentralization policy, they intend to establish a seed production industry in the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park.

“The centre here in Gombe will produce seeds for the northern states and has the potential to create more than 3,500 jobs, both direct and indirect,” he stated.

Another company, Justicia Nigeria Ltd., a transportation services company, also shows interest to invest N12 billion in its terminal project, aiming to serve the park’s industries.

The Lead Consultant of Justicia, Hassan Bello remarked that Justicia will establish a terminal, complete with a trailer park and other transportation infrastructures, to offer a variety of services.

“We intend to establish a terminal akin to a dry port, where all import and export services will be delivered directly to businesses,” he said.

Receiving the investors in his office, Gombe State Deputy Governor, Dr. Mannasah Daniel Jatau, appreciated Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s wisdom and vision in establishing the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park.

Represented by the Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Tourism, Hon. Nasiru Muhammad Aliyu, he emphasized the state’s hospitality, resources, location, and tertiary institutions as key advantages over its peers.

He assured investors of the state government’s commitment to making Gombe a model for industrialization. He highlighted the park’s strategic location, with access to essential resources like water and power, assuring that the state government is ready to provide full support, including swift approval for site allocation.
