The Labour Party, led by Julius Abure faction, has said the National Youth Leader of the party is Prince Kennedy Ahanotu.
In a statement signed by Abure and his faction’s National Secretary, Alhaji Farouk Ibrahim, on Monday, he warned the public against working with Comrade Anslem Eragbe.
The statement stated that Eragbe’s tenure as the party’s National Youth Leader ended in 2023.
“The attention of Labour Party has been drawn to a recent publication by some organizations who erroneously referred and addressed Comrade Anslem Eragbe as the National Youth Leader of the Labour Party.
“We hereby inform the public the Comrade Anselm Eragbe has since 2023 ceased to be the National Youth Leader.
“The general public is hereby advised and warned to stop patronizing Mr. Anselm Eragbe as the National Youth Leader of the Labour Party.
“Labour Party will not accept liability in any kind for dealing with Mr. Anselm Eragbe on behalf of the party,” it read.
A second statement advised the general public to relate with Kennedy Ahanotu on issues of the party that concern youths.
It read, “We respectfully write to officially introduce to you the National Youth Leader of the Labour Party, in the person of Prince Kennedy Ahanotu.
“You are kindly requested to relate with Prince Kennedy Ahanotu in all matters and affairs relating to our party as it concerns youths.“
