Akarigbo of Remo, Oba Adewale Babatunde Ajayi’s commitment to developmental transformation

The kingmakers at the Akarigbo’s palace in Sagamu, Ogun State, saw something special in Oba Adewale Babatunde Ajayi many years ago when he was enthroned the new Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remo land after the late Akarigbo, Oba Micheal Sonariwo joined his ancestors.

Almost a decade after his ascendancy of the Akarigbo throne, Oba Ajayi has proven beyond doubt that he was indeed the chosen one for the exalted throne.

A man of intellect, Oba Ajayi’s capacity was never in doubt. Before ascending the throne, he had built a strong reputation for excellence. A barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Oba Ajayi is one of the shinning lights in the legal profession.

Not only that, he was also a force to reckon with in Insolvency and Restructuring. With over 20 years’ experience in Insolvency and Restructuring, Oba Ajai was in his own league.

Thankfully, the first-class monarch has been able to replicate his brilliant private sector record in his kingdom in Sagamu and the whole of Remo land. Under his traditional guidance, Remo land has continued to grow in leaps and bounds. This is evident even in the political leadership of Ogun State.

The incumbent Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, a proud Remo son became the Governor during Oba Ajayi’s reign. Oba Ajayi’s positive aura has rubbed off on his people in Remo land. Sagamu, the host town of the Akarigbo’s palace is known as one of the most vibrant towns in Ogun State.

And that’s not all, Remo land is home to private higher institutions of learning and other thriving multi-million naira businesses. As it is with most vibrant towns, Sagamu has had its own fair of turbulence. But Oba Ajayi has lived up to expectations in terms of crisis management and conflict resolutions.

Undoubtedly, Oba Ajayi’s greatest achievement till date would be his crisis management prowess. He has used his wisdom to ensure the safety of his people and their businesses. Thanks to inspiring leadership, Remo land has enjoyed uninterrupted development and progression.

Described as a lover of humanity, Oba Ajayi has continued to be a blessing to the people of Remo land. A well-educated monarch, Oba Ajayi holds a Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences from the University of Ibadan. Additionally, he has a Bachelor’s degree in Law(LL.B) and a Master’s degree (LL.M) in Law from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. No doubt, Oba Ajayi has done well for himself and the image of Remo land.
