Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA) Alumni Association has praised the appointment of two of its members, Happiness Dimehin-Ogunbayo and Justinah Ojufisintei Kpemi, as judges of the High Court of Ondo State, as well as Prof. Supo Ijabadeniyi, who was appointed as Deputy Vice Chancellor of Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD).
The alumni association said that their recent appointments are a testament to the quality of education being received at AAUA.
The association equally hailed the appointment of alumni member Mr. Imoleayo Adeniran, who was appointed as the Registrar of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo.
A statement signed by the association’s National Publicity Officer, O’Seun Ogunsakin, and made available to reporters in Ado Ekiti, expressed satisfaction that products of the university have shown consistent capacity to contribute to the all-round development of the country and the world at large.
The statement noted that many other graduates of the university are doing well in various sectors where they currently work, saying that it was heartwarming that the appointees proved themselves to be worthy in character and learning by ensuring a synergy between the town and the gown.
Ogunsakin, who described the quartet as good ambassadors of the university, expressed joy that they had demonstrated competence, diligence, and excellence which AAUA is known for.
He said: “These are the stuff we are made of in AAUA. We in the Alumni Association are very proud to be associated with them.”
The association charged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them and see the new positions as avenues to serve humanity by upholding justice and fairness to all.
The trio of Ijabadeniyi, Dimehin-Ogunbayo, and Ojufisintei Kpemi studied Law at Adekunle Ajasin University, while Adeniran, a graduate of Political Science, is an erstwhile General Secretary of the Students Union Government (SUG) of the university.
