The African Medical Centre of Excellence announced a strategic partnership with SAP and Converge Solutions to implement a cutting-edge hospital information system.

This initiative, announced in a Friday statement, aims to transform healthcare delivery in West Africa through advanced digital solutions.

The CEO of AMCE, Brian Deaver, stated, “This partnership marks a significant milestone in our mission to deliver world-class healthcare services in Nigeria, West Africa, and beyond.

“By leveraging technology, we aim to streamline patient care, enhance decision-making, and generate local employment opportunities.”

The system integrates SAP’s S/4HANA platform with Converge’s ISH Plus suite, offering seamless patient administration, improved care delivery, and efficient workforce management.

The CEO of Converge Solutions, Johann Joubert, emphasised the transformative potential of the project.

“This partnership addresses Africa’s healthcare challenges, such as skill shortages, by implementing modern tools that enhance both patient and practitioner experiences,” he said.

SAP Regional Sales Director Titilayo Adewumi highlighted the importance of technology in improving healthcare outcomes.
“Innovation in healthcare is not just about technology but also about the impact it has on communities. This collaboration will leave a lasting legacy,” she said.

The AMCE, established by the African Export-Import Bank, focuses on addressing non-communicable diseases, such as cancer and cardiovascular conditions, while integrating research and education into its clinical operations.
