Amosun gets Ogun slot as RMAFC Federal Commissioner

President Bola Tinubu has appointed a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Hon Akeem Amosun, as the Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The appointment of the APC chieftain was announced by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at its sitting on Tuesday, September 24.

The Senate read the request of the President for the appointment of commissioners (states) for the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and referred it to the Committees on National Planning and Economic Affairs, and Finance, to report back within two (2) weeks.

Others appointed from other states include Mrs. Linda Nkechi Ofi from Abia, Mr. Ask Your Effiong Great from Akwa Ibom, Mr. Enefe Ekene from Anambra, Prof. Steve Ugbah from Benue, Chief Eyonsa Whiley from Cross River, Aruviere Egharhevwe from Delta, Dr. Henry Awuregu from Ebonyi, Mr. Victor Eboigbe from Edo, Hon. Wumi Ogunlola from Ekiti, Hon. Ozo Obumreme Obodougo from Enugu, Mohammed Kabeer Usman from Gombe, Hon. Kabir Ibrahim Mashi from Katsina, Hon. Adamu Fanda from Kano, Dr. Kunle Wright from Lagos, Aliyu Almakura Abdulkadir from Nasarawa, Guest Shetima from Niger, Nathaniel Adejutelegan from Ondo, and Hon. Saad Bello Ibrahim from Plateau.

DAILY POST reports that Amosun, a former candidate for the Abeokuta South Constituency, was handed the Ogun State slot in the RMAFC.

Amosun is a chartered stockbroker and financial expert.

The graduate of Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University has robust research knowledge, strong financial analytical skills, and is highly knowledgeable in capital and money market activities.

He ran for the seat of Abeokuta South Federal Constituency in 2019 on the platform of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) and later defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Amosun, in the build-up to the 2023 elections, also left the opposition party and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB).
