Yahaya Bello

Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has been ordered by the Court of Appeal to appear in court to answer fraud charges.

The court has also barred him from further legal maneuvers until he faces the charges brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Bello has been evading arrest and legal proceedings while facing allegations of financial misconduct during his tenure as governor from 2015 to 2023. His attempts to move the case to a Kogi State court and delay the proceedings have been unsuccessful.

With this latest ruling, the path is now clear for the EFCC to proceed with the case.
