Army Dispatches Troops To Fish Out Lakurawa In Kebbi

The Nigerian Army has sent soldiers to Kebbi State in order to fish out the terror group known as Lakurawa in the state.

Commander, 1 Brigade Dukku Barracks,  Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi State,  Brig Gen. TM Opurum, while addressing the personnel, charged soldiers deployed to Kebbi purposely to fish out the suspected terrorists who killed 17 people at Mera in Augie local government area of the state to be professionally diligent in discharging their duties.

Opurum told the soldiers to work hard to ensure that they flush out terrorists out of the state and the country in general.

He assured them that the military and Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris would provide all the necessary facilities and support for the success of the military operation in the state.

The commander commended Gov. Nasir Idris for his efforts in providing all the necessary support to the security agencies in the state to enable them achieve the set goals and objectives of flushing out criminals.

He said the team thereafter swung into action by trailing the miscreants inside the bush at Mera and Kwaido villages all in Augie local government area, adding that in the process, the troops recovered 38 cows stolen by the bandits from Mera village.

The commander thereafter inspected the proposed military base site in Kwaido village, which is meant to serve Kebbi and Sokoto states, and called on the authorities concerned to rehabilitate the place so that the troops could successfully conduct their operations.
