Army Partners Counter Terrorism Centre For Training, Protection Of Assets

Nigerian Army has strengthened partnership with the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) with the aim of boosting ongoing counter-terrorism campaign and protection of critical national assets.

Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, reaffirmed this when he received  the Coordinator, National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) Maj. Gen. Adamu Laka  at the Army Headquarters in Abuja yesterday.

Lagbaja in a statement by the army spokesman, Maj. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, stressed the importance of the partnership in curbing terrorism and enhancing the operational readiness of the Nigerian Army.

He said “It is important we continue to find ways to enhance our operations by improving our strategies to tackle the evolving threat of terrorism.

We will continue to work together to ensure the safety and security of our nation and her critical assets.”

The coordinator expressed gratitude for the collaboration, highlighting the necessity of an integrated approach to counter-terrorism efforts.

“Together, we will enhance our capabilities and response strategies, ensuring that we are prepared to confront any challenges that may arise,” he said.
