Arsenal's 2024/25 form

The Gunners are attempting to win the Premier League for the first time since 2004, but they are seven points behind leaders Liverpool.

They have not won any of their last three league games, which included defeats to Bournemouth and Newcastle United.

After 10 matches, they have won five, drawn three, and lost two. This leaves them fifth in the table, and they will aim to avoid dropping more points.

Arteta's side missed out on the title by two points last season and have slightly regressed this season, leaving fans panicking.

Arteta's message to Chelsea

Arsenal have enjoyed great success over their London rivals in the last few games, but Sunday's encounter will be anything other than a walk in the park.

Arteta said his team could beat Chelsea if they produce the same performance as they did against Italian champions Inter Milan.

"If we play the way we played we have a good chance to win against Chelsea. I told them I’m proud of them. I haven’t seen them play in Europe in the manner they have today. And we are very disappointed because we didn’t get what we wanted out of the game that’s for sure," Arteta said via Football London.

Arsenal dominated the game against the Italian side but couldn't breach their defence.

Chelsea last defeated Arsenal in 2021 but have shown promising signs this season after years of mediocrity.
