Innovation is not just about technology but creating ecosystems that foster growth and sustainability. These were the words of Bunmi Akinyemiju, co-founder of Venture Garden Group (VGG), a technology firm facilitating transformative growth across Africa, during a session at the just concluded Global Tech Africa (GTA) held in Lagos.

Akinyemiju, the Managing Partner of Greenhouse Capital, during the session spoke on the topic ‘Unlocking Liquidity: Catalysing Growth Through Strategic Investments and Innovation’, said: “The target is to catalyse economic transformation by unlocking the potential of strategic investments, this is the goal of VGG.”

Ademola Idris Idowu, co-founder and Partner, VGG and member, Board of Trustees, VGN Social Foundation for Youth Empowerment, provided valuable guidance to emerging tech entrepreneurs during the “Funding Tech Startups” session, offering practical insights into securing venture capital and navigating investment landscapes.

He said: “Securing funding is just the start; the emphasis is on empowering startups to scale sustainably and influentially creating an environment where innovation flourishes.”

Dr. Inya Lawal said VGG’s dedication to utilising technology for socio-economic development aligns seamlessly “with our GTA conference objectives. Together, we can accelerate Africa’s technological revolution.”
