Atiku, Tambuwal Hail Gov Diri Over Supreme Court Victory

Chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, have congratulated the Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, over his Supreme Court victory.

Naija News reported that the Supreme Court, on Friday, upheld Governor Diri’s victory in the Bayelsa governorship election in 2023.

The former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar said the victory of Diri was a victory for the citizens of Bayelsa and the PDP.

On his part, the Sokoto North Senator, Aminu Tambuwal, advised Diri to continue his selfless service to the citizens of his state.

The former presidential candidate of PDP said, “I extend my warmest congratulations to brother and friend Governor Diri and wish him continued success in his second term.

“I congratulate Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State and our great party, PDP, on the validation of his election by the Supreme Court earlier today.

“My special congratulations go to the people of Bayelsa State, who shall continue to enjoy the benefits of good governance under the leadership of Governor Diri.“

In his congratulatory message on Friday, the former governor of  Sokoto State wrote, “The Supreme Court delivered a historic verdict that reaffirms the people’s choice of His Excellency, Douye Diri, in the recent election.

“I join countless Bayelsans in celebrating this well-deserved victory, which is a testament to his unwavering commitment to Bayelsa state.

“During his first term, Governor Diri demonstrated exceptional leadership. His dedication has significantly improved the lives of the citizens. I am confident that he will continue to build upon this progress and ensure a brighter future for Bayelsa.”
