Awards set to honour excellence

Organisers of the 10th yearly African Quality Achievement Awards said all is set as it marks a decade of celebrating outstanding contributions to quality and excellence across the African continent.

Organisers of the 10th yearly African Quality Achievement Awards said all is set as it marks a decade of celebrating outstanding contributions to quality and excellence across the African continent.
  
It said the excellence award would recognise organisations, individuals and institutions that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to quality standards and innovations. 
  
Chairman, Organising Committee, Prof Stanley Ohenhen, said this year’s theme ‘Cracking the code of the 21st Century Challenges: What to do next?’, the celebration was for those who have set benchmarks in their respective fields and driven positive change across Africa in sectors, including business, education, healthcare and technology.
  
He said: “The congress is a platform to share and exchange ideas on the importance of quality management in an organization.” 
He added that the event would showcase the launch of a special publication of the academy, The Quality Standard Journal, which he said is a journal of discourse on key issues of quality management.

African Quality Achievement Awards is the brainchild of The African Quality Academy, a Quality Management Training and Certification School with the mandate to raise the standard of quality management education and certification.
