Awolowo’s Legacy Challenges Me To Do More – Adeleke

4 hours ago 1

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has attributed his desire to give the best to the people of Osun State during his tenure to the landmark legacies of the first Premier of the Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Adeleke remarked while hosting the management of Odu’a Investment Company Limited in his office on Tuesday that the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and his crop of administrators of those days were legendary figures worthy of emulation.

“The inspiration of Awoism is a strong motivation for me as a Governor. That was the reason why, in just two years, we implemented far-reaching developmental programmes. We are as ambitious as the Awoist cabinet of the First Republic,” Adeleke contended.

Earlier, the chairman of Odu’a Investment Company, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, extolled Adeleke’s visionary leadership in all sectors and said the company remained committed to its mandate of driving economic prosperity for shareholder states through strategic investments and partnerships.

He reaffirmed the conglomerate’s strong partnership with the government and people of Osun State . He sought deeper collaboration in two critical sectors: mining and agriculture, which are vital to the state’s and the region’s development agenda.
