The news of his death came just nine months after his wedding, leaving his family, friends and colleagues in a deep mourning mood.
Captain Yohana, known for his bravery and commitment to serving his country, has been described as a hero by those who knew him in his lifetime.
According to a security media source, Zagazola Makama, Yohana’s untimely death is a painful reminder of the dangers faced by members of the Nigerian military in their relentless fight against the growing security challenges in the country.
He said, “Another hero has fallen,” a close friend remarked, reflecting the deep sense of loss felt by all who were touched by Yohana’s life and service.
“His family, still reeling from the joy of his wedding just months ago, is now grappling with the overwhelming grief of losing a beloved son, brother, and husband.”
Colleagues of Captain Yohana described him as an exemplary officer who was dedicated to his duty and always willing to go above and beyond to protect the lives of others.
“His death is not just a loss to his family and friends, but to the entire nation,” a source said.
