Big Brother Naija star, Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, also known as Doyin, has made a shocking confession about her time on the reality show. In a recent podcast appearance on CreativiTEA with Lynda, Doyin revealed that she faked her personality during her first stint on the show in 2022.
According to Doyin, she portrayed a more mature version of herself to impress the audience, stating, “My first run wasn’t my best run, to be honest. I have been on the show twice, and I came out of the show, and I hated it. I was fake. I came out with the narrative that Doyin is too mature. She is always trying to talk things out; that’s not really me.”
Doyin’s admission has sparked a mix of reactions from fans, with some commending her for her honesty while others are criticizing her for being disingenuous. This revelation comes as a surprise, given Doyin’s outspoken nature on the show, which led to her being labeled as “a talkative” by her fellow housemates and viewers.
In addition to her confession about faking her personality, Doyin also shared that she was dropped by a brand due to an interview she gave, resulting in her contract being terminated. She stated, “There is no bad or good brand. I had a brand that dropped me. They had signed me and paid me the money, but they called and asked for a refund, and it was because of an interview I did. And to be fair to them, I deserved to be dropped because why did I talk?”
