Be Patient, Tinubu’s Policies Need More Than One Year To Materialize – Oshiomhole Tells Nigerians

Former Edo State Governor, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, has appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

The former Governor, who currently represents Edo North in the Senate, argued that the policies of the Tinubu government are good for the nation, but require more time to yield results.

Oshiomhole, who spoke during an interview appearance on Channels TV, said there’s no need to reverse the policies set in motion by the current government despite the pain and hardship, as they will deliver comfort to Nigerians in the long run.

“You have to agree that some of the policy initiatives will require more than a year to materialise,” Oshiomhole said.

“What would the president gain by resorting to policy choices that are unlikely to deliver comfort in the long run?”

“So, I think for me, it is about having faith that in the long run, these things will work out,” he added.

Meanwhile, Naija News had earlier reported that Oshiomhole has described the reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu’s return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the ‘nature of politics’.

Recall the the embattled Deputy Governor dumped the main opposition party at a campaign rally held on Saturday in the state.

Oshiomhole, who spoke on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, said Shaibu’s action is common in politics.
