The Benue State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended its leaders and members for their peaceful conduct during the primary election processes.

The party praised the aspirants, in particular, for their exemplary behaviour during the screening exercise from September 1, 2024, to September 2, 2024.

This was stated in a Thursday statement by Caretaker Organizing Secretary/Spokesperson, Mr. James Ornguga.

He noted that the APC is pleased that no violence was reported during the process as those who had concerns with the screening exercise have approached the Barrister Moses Atagher-led Screening Appeal Committee.

Ornguga said the committee has addressed all cases, allowing for the immediate commencement of the primary election on Wednesday, to be completed on Thursday.

He added that the Primary Election Appeal Committee would begin its sitting on Thursday to handle all petitions arising from the conduct of the primary elections.

“The party seeks further cooperation and understanding from its members to achieve the overall success of the electoral process,” he added.
