United States President and Democratic candidate Joe Biden has accused Elon Musk, one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, of attempting to secure a Republican victory for Donald Trump by financially supporting his campaign.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Musk is reportedly planning to allocate around $45 million monthly to a new fund in support of Trump’s presidential bid.

Reacting to this, Biden expressed his frustration, stating that he is “sick” of Musk and other billionaires trying to influence the November election outcome in favour of Trump.

He encouraged Americans to contribute to his campaign to help defeat Trump.

On his social media platform X, Biden posted: “I’m sick of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election. And if you agree, pitch in here.

Naija News reports that Musk officially endorsed Trump’s presidential bid on Saturday after Trump survived a shooting at a political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” Musk stated on X, the social media platform he purchased in 2022.

The November 5th election will see Donald Trump challenge incumbent Joe Biden of the Democratic Party, marking the first rematch in U.S. presidential elections in almost 70 years.
