Boko Haram Terrorists Burn Church In Borno, Kill Villagers

Boko Haram terrorists, on Sunday, burned down the EYN LCC church auditorium during an attack on Bamzir village under Whuntaku District, Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

The terrorists were said to have attacked the village around 2:10 am and also set many houses ablaze.

Two blood brothers, identified as Josiah Pogu Pudza, and Enoch Pogu Pudza, were killed during the attack, while one Esther Yohanna, sustained a bullet injury.

The media team of the local government chairman of Chibok LGA, Mustapha Madu, confirmed the attack in a statement on Sunday.

The statement added that the terrorists carted away food items and livestock.

Meanwhile, the two persons who lost their lives during the attack have been buried with the local government chairman in attendance.

Mustapha condoled with the family of the bereaved and also inspected all burnt houses, shops, and the church auditorium.

In other news, the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has condemned the explosion attack at Nganzai Divisional Police Headquarters in Borno State.

Naija News reported that suspected Boko Haram terrorist members attacked the Police Division on Thursday, leading to the death of some officers.

In a statement from the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Inspector General of Police commended the gallantry of personnel who dispelled the attacks.

Egbetokun further ordered the Zone 15 Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, to mobilize and fish out the perpetrators of the crime.
