Bruno Fernandes came to the aid of an ill passenger on a flight to Lisbon. The Manchester United captain was en route to his native country with his teammate Diogo Dalot for the international break.
Fernandes is said to have spotted the ill passenger on the flight who was seemingly passing out at the back of the plane.
How Bruno Fernandes saved an ill passenger
A passenger on the plane, Susana Lawson, says the attacking midfielder screamed for help.
"Bruno went to the loo at the back of the plane during the flight. We suddenly heard a shout for assistance which those within hearing distance looked back, including us as we were toward the back," she said in an interview with Business Cloud."Bruno was holding a gentleman who looked like he was passing out. I don’t know if he lost consciousness or not."The cabin crew on the easyJet flight rushed to help the man who was ill.
Lawson further explained that the former Sporting Lisbon star stayed with the man for five to 10 minutes before returning to his seat, unassuming of his star status and what he had just done.
Bruno Fernandes' form post ten Hag
The 'assist' comes hot on the heels of his five-star performance against Leicester City on Sunday. The 30-year-old scored once, forced an own goal and assisted another as the Red Devils thumped the Foxes in Ruud van Nistelrooy's final game in charge as interim boss.
Fernandes had suffered a dip in form under Erik ten Hag but has since rediscovered his scoring boots, finding the back of the net five times in four games.
When he returns from the international break, he and his teammates will work under Ruben Amorim, who took over head coach duties on November 11.
Amorim does away with club legend
Legit.ng has reported that Amorim did away with four coaches as he looks to bring his own team to Old Trafford.
Van Nistelrooy's position as an assistant coach was in limbo after the departure of ten Hag.
