Buni gifts Yobe football club new bus

Governor Mala Buni has gifted a brand new bus to Yobe Desert Stars Football Club ahead of the new league season.

Buni’s donation to the Desert Stars is a significant morale booster, aimed at strengthening the team’s spirit as they strive for glory this season.

As the NNL 2024/2025 season kicks off, the bus will facilitate the team’s journey to match venues, and it reflects the optimism of the people of Yobe for a bright and promising season ahead.

With a talented roster and a strong start, Yobe Desert Stars has already made waves by winning the NFF President’s Cup, signalling high hopes for the upcoming league season.

The club’s management led by Mohammed Sarkiyo presented the trophy from the NFF Pre-season Tournament in Kaduna to Governor Buni. The presentation took place during the opening ceremony of the Yobe State Governor’s Cup 2024, further emphasising the team’s strong start to the season.

At the ceremony, Buni, while expressing his delight in the team’s performance vowed to continuously support the NNL side.
“We are presenting to you this brand new bus as a sign of continuous support for you to perform and going forward we will not relent to provide you with what is needed for you to sustain this tempo.

“We urge you to perform your very best which everyone has seen during the pre-season tournament,” the Governor emphasised.
