The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the prize money for this year’s highly anticipated edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League, which is set to showcase the continent’s top women’s football teams.

In a significant boost to the CAF Women’s Champions League’s prestige, the champions will walk away with a lucrative prize of $600,000.

The runners-up will go home with a $400,000 prize money in recognition of their performance throughout the competition.

Additionally, the teams finishing in third and fourth places will also enjoy generous monetary rewards, with the third-place team taking home $350,000 and the fourth-place team receiving $300,000.

This structure of the prize money not only incentivizes teams to strive for excellence but also reflects the growing recognition of women’s football in Africa.

Moreover, as part of the competition’s commitment to supporting all participants, every team competing will be guaranteed a participation fee of at least $150,000, ensuring that even those who do not progress to the later stages of the tournament will benefit financially.

Among the teams, the Nigerian champions, Edo Queens, will be making their debut in this prestigious tournament, marking a historic milestone for the club as they compete against Africa’s elite.

The competition is scheduled to take place from November 9 to November 23, with matches being held in the vibrant cities of El Jadida and Casablanca, Morocco. This event promises not only to celebrate exceptional talent in women’s football but also to foster greater interest and investment in the sport across the continent.
