Edo Queens, look to go all the way at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League to be held from November 8 to 23 in Morocco.

The Nigerian champions made the bold statement on the back of the draw that took place at the Complex Mohamed VI in Salé, Morocco, on Friday.

“Challenge Accepted! We know our path, and now it’s time to own it! Ready to take on the continent at the CAF Women’s Champions League. As far as bringing it home,” the Benin-City-based club stated on their official X handle.

The club, who recently emerged third at the 2024 edition of Betsy Obaseki Women’s Football Tournament, are lodged in Group B alongside Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, Tutankhamun of Egypt, and CBE of Ethiopia.

Group A comprises AS FAR (Morocco), Aigles De La Medina (Senegal), TP Mazembe (DR Congo), and University of Western Cape (South Africa).

The competition will feature eight clubs consisting of champions of CAF’s Six Zonal joining hosts AS FAR as well as defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, who will contest the coveted title.

Winners will get USD 400,000 in prize money, with runners-up walking away with USD 250 000.

Since its inception, the CAF Women’s Champions League has played a key role in shaping women’s football in Africa.

Six Zonal tournaments took place to qualify six teams in addition to the host and the holder of the 2023 title to the FT of CAF WCL 2024.
