According to a statement on its website, the new edition of the UEFA Champions League will see the draw process conducted using software.

This marks a significant departure from the traditional draw ceremony, which typically featured prominent players selecting teams for the group stage.

The statement highlights that the draws will be managed by a software solution developed by UEFA’s partner, AE Live. This software has been thoroughly tested to ensure seamless integration of internal and external systems for accurate and reliable results.

Additionally, the entire draw process has been reviewed by the external auditor Ernst & Young to ensure randomness and adherence to the draw rules.

The 2024/25 UEFA Champions League season is scheduled to run from Tuesday, July 9, 2024, to Saturday, May 31, 2025.
