Chelsea have announced new squad numbers for some of their players ahead of the 2024-2025 season.

Levi Colwill will wear the number 6 shirt, previously worn by Thiago Silva, who has moved to Fluminense in Brazil. Wesley Fofana will wear shirt number 29, having spent most of last season on the sidelines due to fitness issues.

New signees, Tosin Adarabioyo has been assigned shirt number four, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will wear shirt number 22. Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, and Renato Veiga will wear numbers 37, 38, and 40, respectively, according to a statement from Chelsea earlier today, July 15.

Chelsea also unveiled their new home kit for the upcoming season. The kit, manufactured by Nike, features a striking ‘blue flame’ theme symbolizing the “melting pot” of London culture, and silver flecks representing Chelsea’s rich history and success.

It includes thin white and bright orange trim on the sleeves and shorts, nodding to the “fresh fire” of the club’s youth ranks at their Cobham training centre. The club crest is tinted in silvery blue rather than gold.

Chelsea have announced new squad numbers for some of their players ahead of the 2024-2025 season.

Notably, the new kit currently lacks a main sponsor across the front of the shirt, as Chelsea’s previous agreement with sports technology company Infinite Athlete expired at the end of last season.

Recall that last season, the Blues secured a deal with Infinite Athlete six weeks into the season after starting without a shirt sponsor.
