While Chelsea’s chances of signing Victor Osimhen are looking increasingly unlikely, recent reports have suggested that the English club holds the key to the Napoli striker’s move to Paris Saint-Germain, The PUNCH reports.
Osimhen has been linked with a move away from Napoli, with many assuming that the game against Lecce at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in May could probably be his last for the Little Donkeys.
He has emerged as one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, having been linked with moves to Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Liverpool, among others.
However, his hefty €130m release clause has scared off many suitors, with PSG the only European club still keen on signing him.
According to L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 side will have to sell either Gancalo Ramos or Randal Kolo-Muani before proceeding with the signing.
In the latest update, HITC wrote that Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign the two PSG forwards.
The London club are on the hunt for a striker this summer, and while a deal for Osimhen appears to be off the cards, PSG have offered them an alternative option.
“HITC understands that intermediaries have reached out to clubs to inform them about the availability of Randal Kolo-Muani and Goncalo Ramos,” the website wrote.
“PSG would be willing to part ways with both players this summer to make space for Osimhen, and Chelsea are one of the clubs who have been contacted.
“Chelsea are on the lookout for players to strengthen their striking department after they relied heavily on Nicolas Jackson to lead the line last season.
“PSG have now offered them a solution to their striker search.”
Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in the 2020 summer for a club record fee of €70m plus another €10m in bonuses.
The 25-year-old has been in top form for the Parthenopeans for the past two seasons, guiding them to their first Scudetto title in over three decades in the 2022/23 season, scoring 26 league goals, which earned him the top scorer award.
