Pulisic opened the scoring for the USA in the 13th and 33rd minute to give his side a commanding lead before Ricardo Pepi added a third before halftime.
Demaray Gary pulled on a back for Jamaica early in the second half before Timothy Weah sealed USA's win with a fourth goal. USA secured a 5-2 aggregate win over Jamaica to book their spot in the Concacaf Nations League semi-final.
After scoring his first goal, Pulisic celebrated with the now-popular Trump dance in front of a packed stadium in St Louis.
“I saw everyone doing it yesterday in the NFL, I saw Jon Jones do it,” Pulisic said via New York Times. “We’re just having a bit of fun, so I thought it was a pretty fun dance.”Pulisic's dance received a lot of attention on social media due to its association with Trump.
“It’s not a political dance. It was just for fun. I saw a bunch of people do it and I thought it was funny, so I enjoyed it. I hope some people did, at least.”Several sports stars, including UFC superstar Jon Jones and San Francisco 49ers' Nick Bosa, have recently performed the dance.
What is the Trump dance?
The "Trump Dance" originates from the dance moves US President-elect Donald Trump performed during his presidential campaigns.
This past weekend, Jon Jones performed the dance in front of Trump after his win in the UFC.
Trump did the dance by moving his arms back and forth with clenched fists. The dance craze became more popular after Trump defeated Kamala Harris to become the 47th US president.
