Controller Kogi Vigilante Service vows to smoke criminals out of state

The Controller General, Kogi State Vigilante Service Commander Adinoyi Mariam Abdulrahaman, on Wednesday, assumed office vowing to flush out criminal elements out of the State.

Addressing journalists in Lokoja, Abdulrahman disclosed that it will no longer be business as usual for any individual who intends to disturb the peace of Kogi State.

He explained that the command will continue to synergise with other security agencies to make Kogi State safe for investors, adding that criminals planning to cause havoc should relocate from the state.

“It will no longer be business as usual. I can assure all Kogites that the mandate given to us by His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is to ensure that Kogi State is safe for all. Let this be a note of warning to those who are enemies of Kogi State.

“For your own good, relocate from Kogi State as there will be no hiding place for you. The Kogi State Vigilantes Service in collaboration with other sister security agencies is fully ready to make our State unconducive for criminals. No matter where you are or highly placed, you will be arrested and prosecuted” he stated.

Abdulrahaman, who is a retired Navy Colonel warned against any forms of indiscipline by officers under his command, stressing that, anyone who intends to sabotage his efforts in ensuring peace in Kogi State will be dismissed from office and made to face the full wrath of the law.

Explaining further, he said “The command under my watch will be aggressive in ensuring discipline in the system. If you are not ready to protect Kogi State and we discover that you are undisciplined we won’t spare you. His Excellency is determined to ensure that Kogi is the safest in Nigeria. When any officer intends to compromise this effort for their own selfish interest, he or she will be shown the exit door”.

He commended the immediate past Commandant of Kogi State Vigilante Service, Hassan Saliyu Aliyu for his achievement, stressing that his wealth of experience is still needed to make the security outfit achieve more in curbing crimes and criminalities in the state.

While appreciating Governor Ododo for finding him worthy to serve in Kogi State, the Controller General of the State Vigilante Service promised to improve the welfare of its officers.

Earlier in his remarks, the immediate past Controller General, Kogi State Vigilante Service Hassan Saliyu Aliyu charged the officers of the State to give all their maximum support for the present Commander to succeed.
