1 week ago 26

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has announced that National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to Katsina State will have access to free healthcare services throughout their service year.

The coordinator of the NHIA Katsina chapter, Ibrahim Dabo, made this known during a public lecture at the NYSC orientation camp in Katsina yesterday. He emphasized that NHIA aims to ensure the security of the lives of corps members serving in Katstina State through an all-inclusive platform.

He highlighted the benefits of the scheme including free medical services throughout the service year and during the two-week terminal leave after completion of service.

He explained that NHIA operates on different levels, providing basic health services at the primary level and advanced services like CT scans and MRI at the secondary and tertiary levels.

The coordinator, therefore, advised corps members to familiarise themselves with their NYSC call-up number and contact their local government inspectors (LGIs) first in case of illness or ailments for proper direction.
