Davido to Donate ₦300 Million to Charity on 32nd Birthday

Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced plans to donate ₦300 million to charity organizations supporting victims of drug abuse and orphanage homes.

This donation marks Davido’s fourth publicized charitable gesture, following previous donations in 2021 (₦250 million), 2023 (₦237 million), and 2024 (₦300 million).

Davido’s latest donation aims to tackle drug abuse, a cause he has not publicly supported before. However, in 2015, he faced controversy with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over depicting hard drugs in his music video “Fans Mi.”

Davido will make the donation on his 32nd birthday, November 21, 2024.
