Nigerian DJ and activist, Obianuju Catherine, aka DJ Switch, has dared Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, to appear in public and confront protesters if they are not afraid.

The challenge comes amid the ongoing nationwide hunger protests, tagged “EndBadGovernance,” which began on August 1, 2024. The protests aim to highlight Nigeria’s economic challenges.

Before the demonstrations, Dokubo had warned organizers not to bring the protest to his region, claiming their agenda doesn’t address local issues. Wike had also threatened that Abuja would be unavailable for the protests, citing intelligence suggesting protesters intend to destroy property.

In response, DJ Switch, a vocal entertainer and organizer of the 2020 EndSARS protests, challenged Wike and Dokubo to confront the protesters in public. She emphasized that food, not violence or threats, is the solution to hunger.

“The only thing that can stop HUNGER is FOOD! Not guns, teargas, or threats from fat globs like Asari Dokubo and chicken feed Wike! I wonder why they are hiding now. Come outside let them eat you raw,” she tweeted.
