The money donated to Idris Okunney, popularly known as Bobrisky by Nigerian celebrities has continued to raise dust.

Nigerians questioned the motive behind donations, calling it bizarre that an offender could be compensated for serving prison time.

Bobrisky took to social media on Saturday to share the news with Nigerians that despite being in jail, he came out with millions of Naira. She then went on to share names of Nigerian celebrities who supported him while he was in prison.

The self-made mommy of Lagos regained his freedom on August 5, 2024, after spending six months behind bars after he was charged with four counts bordering on Naira abuse by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on April 5, 2024.

Bobrisky revealed that Funke Akindele, Don Jazzy, Victor Osimhen, Eniola Ajao, Tonto Dikeh, Abu Abel, Yhemo Lee and others donated to him.

He took to Instagram to share the news: “Few people that know me, know that I love to appreciate favour. There is a popular word that says if you thank people who were there for you today, you will get another one when you need them. God bless you all for standing up for dis little child God bless you. There are still good people. Thank u sir Dadd.

He revealed that Donjazzy gave him N4 million while Victor Osimhen gave him N3 million, Chibuzor Madubuko donated N1 million, Umeniyora Okwudili also donated him N3 million Abu and an anonymous Godfather bothbsent in N1 million and N10 million respectively.

He went further to reveal that Jimmy gave him N1.5 million while Yhemolee gave him N1.5 million, John SKJ gave him N600,000 and uncle Seun gave him N5 million.

He added that 10 Instagram slides were not enough for him to thank the women in his life, but he would make do and post them in batches. The crossdresser then asserted that women rule the world because these sets of women are the definition of real friends.

Eniola Ajao gave him N6 million, while Tiwa Savage gave him N2.5 million and Tonto Dikeh gave him N1 million, Prettywomanmainpage gave him N2, million. Niniola gave him N1 million and Moyo Lawal gave him N1 million. He revealed that Funkej Akindele dashed him N2.5 million. Lady Goffer also gave him N1.5 million, Biodun Okeowo gave him N200,000 and Sotayo Gaga gave him N1 million.

Popular social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, said: “I saw that many people contributed up to N100 million to Bobrisky and I asked what the money was for. I asked if people are trying to encourage crime and same-sex relationships in Nigeria. It means the youths are encouraged to commit crimes and that they will be supported. He added that there is no portable water in many communities in Nigeria and the money could have been used to provide water, there are many schools without chairs in classrooms.

“I have lost respect for everyone on the list. The government will not take the people seriously.

Otunba wrote on X: “All the Nigerian celebrities that sent money to Bobrisky are very daft, all of them.”

Mustapha wrote: “Bobrisky came out of prison and Nigerian youths contributed money to give him? The youth of this country is mostly finished. The chronic gambling, scamming and clandestine prostituting youth of this country is finished, and I pity the future of this country.”

Cossy wrote: “Bobrisky story shows us how our leaders cannot rate us nor care about us. People who donated almost N100 million to Bobrisky have their secrets. They’re promoting his lifestyle, supporting him to continue his gayish beast in Nigeria.”
