EFCC Arraigns Businesswoman Aisha Achimugu In Court

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) presented businesswoman Aisha Achimugu before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, as ordered by the court.

Achimugu, escorted by two female EFCC operatives, arrived at the court around 11:35am.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the EFCC declared Achimugu wanted in March over allegations of criminal conspiracy and money laundering. She was arrested on arrival in the country on Monday.

The Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Justice I.E. Ekwo, ordered her to appear before the EFCC on Tuesday.

Her lawyer, Chief Chikaosolu Ojukwu, however, condemned the arrest, claiming it violated a court order.
