Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has assured Muslim faithful in the state of inclusive governance by his administration.

Aiyedatiwa, who solicited the support of Muslims in the state for his administration, reiterated his commitment to the rapid development of the 18 local council areas of the state.

The governor, in his Sallah message to the Muslim community issued by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Ebenezer Adeniyan, on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, harped on the sustenance of religious harmony and peaceful coexistence among the people.

He said, “This year’s celebration will bring blessings, peace, and prosperity for all Muslim faithful in the state. Governor Aiyedatiwa prays that Allah showers His countless blessings upon all and makes this year’s Eid-el-Kabir a memorable one.”

Also, the gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the forthcoming November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, Olugbenga Edema, has felicitated the Muslim community in the state on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

In his message, Edema, who stressed the values of selflessness and love for the less privileged, stressed that Muslims should endeavour to embody these principles in their daily lives.

According to the erstwhile lawmaker, who had also served as the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), the Islamic festival symbolises the importance of reaching out to those in need and fostering a spirit of unity and compassion within society.

While expressing his belief that these core values are essential for building a more inclusive and prosperous state where every citizen can thrive, the governorship candidate reiterated the commitment of the NNPP to the welfare and progress of the people of Ondo State.

Edema disclosed that if elected, his administration would work tirelessly to address the pressing challenges facing the state and to create opportunities for sustainable development and growth.

“It is through acts of kindness and compassion that we can build a more inclusive and harmonious society for all. May this celebration bring peace, joy, and prosperity to your homes and communities.

“The NNPP is poised to rescue the good people of Ondo State from the challenges they face, and we are dedicated to implementing policies and programmes that will bring about positive change and improve the lives of every citizen.”
