Eintracht Frankfurt Mourns Demise Of 33-Year-Old Coach Helge Rasche

German youth coach, Helge Rasche who was the Under-19 manager of the Bundesliga club, Eintracht Frankfurt, passed away in a car accident on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

German publication, BILD confirmed that Helge Rasche crashed into a tree while driving a white Hyundai on the road between Dietzenbach and Rodgau, to the southwest of Frankfurt. Unfortunately for him, he died from injuries sustained from the accident.

Eintracht Frankfurt mourned Helge Rasche’s demise in a statement on the club’s official X page on Friday, September 6, emphasizing their thoughts and prayers for his family and friends.

The club’s statement reads, “Eintracht Frankfurt is devastated by the loss of U19 head coach Helge Rasche.

“The 33-year-old lost his life in a traffic accident yesterday. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. Our thoughts are with him, his family, and his loved ones. Rest in peace.”

Until his demise, Helge Rasche’s coaching career was dedicated to developing the Under-19 team. Under his guidance, the team showed promise with a strong performance in the Under-19 youth league (Group D).

The entire football community has come together to honor Rasche’s memory, with numerous clubs offering messages of support and solidarity via social media earlier today.

A German club, Hannover 96 wrote on X: “We are deeply saddened. We still have fond memories of Helge Rasche at Hannover 96 as a friendly, hardworking and courteous colleague.

“Our thoughts are with his family. Rest in peace, Helge.”
