Election Results From 16 Local Government Areas In Kwara State

As Kwara State had its local government election after seven years on Saturday, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) secured victory across the 16 local council areas.

According to the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), the APC, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Accord Party and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) contested the council election across the 16 council areas in 193 wards.

In Ifelodun Local Government Area, APC won with 22,524 votes, PDP secured 2,727 votes and APM secured 482 votes.

In Oyun LGA, the APC got 12,159 votes, PDP got 356 votes and APM got 386 votes. In Oke Ero LGA, APC got 7,472 votes, PDP got 1,168 votes and APM got 224 votes.

In Isin LGA, APC got 8,173 votes, PDP got 1,165 votes and APM got 77 votes. In Edu LGA, APC got 23,963 votes, PDP got 3,851 votes and APM got 424 votes.

In Patigi LGA, APC got 14,119 votes, PDP got 2,939 votes and APM got 806 votes. In Moro LGA, APC got 14,555 votes, PDP got 1,670 votes and APM got 117 votes.

In Asa LGA, APC got 15,024 votes, PDP got 2,638 votes and APM got 41 votes. In Ilorin South LGA, APC got 20,207 votes, PDP got 2,072 votes, SDP got 621 votes and APM got 226 votes.

In Baruten LGA, APC got 38,549 votes, PDP got 1,335 votes and APM got 665 votes. In Ilorin East LGA, APC got 20,883 votes, PDP got 5,383 votes, APM got 835 votes and SDP got 475 votes.

In Kaima LGA, APC got 23,029 votes, PDP secured 1,737 votes and APM got 59 votes. In Ekiti LGA, APC got 8,707 votes, APM secured 966 votes while PDP got 907 votes.

In Offa LGA, APC won with 22,400 votes, Accord got 1,919 votes, PDP got 1,586 votes, APM got 636 votes and SDP got 391 votes.

In Ilorin West LGA, APC got 50,128 votes, PDP got 4,202 votes and APM got 1882 votes. In Irepodun LGA, APC got 14,010 votes, PDP got 2,106 votes and APM got 559 votes, and SDP got 239 votes
