The IBEDC team was led by the chief commercial officer, Dr Ademola Adewumi ,who represented the managing director of the company.

Adewumi was accompanied on the visit by the regional head, Kwara region, Engr. Toyin Akinyosoye.

The Emir acknowledged the service delivery of the company, but enjoined it to make power supply more regular and stable in Ilorin and other parts of the state.

He requested the IBEDC to consider applicants from the state, particularly Ilorin for employment opportunities.

He, however, assured the electricity company of his support for their operation in the state.

Earlier, the leader of the IBEDC team, Dr. Ademola Adewumi, had said they were in the palace to seek Sulu-Gambari’s support and royal blessings.

He said that one of the company’s core values is stakeholders’ engagement, through which they work closely with communities to understand their challenges.
