The Emir of Zazzau, HRH Ahmad Nuhu Bamali, has turbaned a philanthropist, Dr Haruna Saleh Kargi, as Turakin Mardannin Zazzau.
Dr Saleh Kargi rode on a decorated horse amid mammoth crowd while moving from the emir’s palace to his family house in Zaria shortly after being turbaned on Friday, August 2nd, 2024.
The emir bestowed the traditional titles on Dr Haruna Saleh Kargi and others on Friday after the Juma’at service in his palace in Zaria.
While congratulating them on their new appointments, the emir tasked them to use their wealth of experience to bring about rapid socio-economic development to the emirate.
He encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the emirate and imbibe the spirit of unity, tolerance, and patience to enable them to discharge their responsibilities diligently.
Dr Haruna Saleh Kargi was a former Kaduna State commissioner of inter-governmental affairs, director of personnel and administration in various local governments in Kaduna and now a director of finance and accounting at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Kaduna State.
In an interview with journalists shortly after the turbaning ceremony, Dr Haruna Kargi said those bestowed with the traditional titles were carefully chosen and rewarded for their hard work, loyalty, and commitment.
The event, held at the emir of Zazzau’s Palace, Zaria, was attended by important dignitaries, including directors from various ministries, local government chairmen, friends, and well-wishers from all over Kaduna State.
