#EndBadGovernance Protest: Charly Boy Urges Nigerians To Intensify Efforts For Change

Veteran entertainer, Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has called on Nigerians to continue their efforts following the initial day of the nationwide protest.

Naija News reports that the protest, which began yesterday, August 1st, is set to run for ten days, ending August 10th.

Day one of the protest was mixed across the country, with many northern States experiencing violence, looting, vandalism and killings, while states in the South saw largely peaceful protests

The maverick entertainer, however, emphasized that the salvation of Nigeria lies In the hands of its exceptional youths.

In his statement, Charly Boy encouraged Nigerians to keep up the momentum and pressure on the government, stressing that the first demonstration is only the start of a larger movement for reform.

He praised the significant turnout across various states on Monday, noting that these widespread protests send a strong message to the government.

Charly Boy posted on X: “Brave, Strong and determined Nigerian youths, una make me proud today.

“First: Una congratulations on a job well done. But our work just start.

“As most of us don awake from our slumber in the realization say gofment no care for us, no send us, we no go gree for people wey no gree for us. We must keep fighting to retrieve our stolen future.

“Let’s keep the pressure up, because this devilish government must understand that the tide is changing. They must never feel safe again, unless dey start doing the needful.
